Grace and Truth
Fellowship is a non-denominational fellowship that was started out of
the need for a church that believes the Word of God says what it means
and means what it says. Because of today's "Modern Gospel"
teaching, the Holy Bible is often twisted into a book that meets man's
wants and desires instead of the powerful life changing Word of God it
is meant to be. The purpose behind our decision to organize as a
non-denominational church was to allow the freedom to follow scripture
without conforming to denominational tenants that may not necessarily
be supported by the infallible Word of God. Our intent and
purpose is to let scripture interpret scripture, not adding or
subtracting anything, and to live our lives as a literal interpretation
of God's word.
Our vision as an
outreach based ministry is to seek out the lost in order to fulfill
God's commission of preaching the Gospel to the world. As
Christians we are charged with the responsibility of following God's
will for the Body of Christ.
As a new
fellowship, we started as a humble "home church" meeting in the home
of Pastor Dave Bounds. The church has grown and moved in to a
more
traditional church setting at 410 South 4th Street, however our mission
will remain the
same. Our greatest work will always be performed outside
the church.
We believe that
all have sinned and fallen short of the standards set before us by
God. See the "Ten Commandments" for a list of God's
standards. Although God's law has shown us our guilt, God,
through his son Jesus Christ has provided for our redemption.
