Welcome to Grace and Truth's "Online Mission Field". Our intent is to have the most extensive evangelism resource in the Leavenworth area. The Bible speaks of many different gifts and five different offices within the church. However everyone, regardless of office or gift, is commanded to be a light to the world and share their faith. It is our desire and prayer that we can help you "put your lamp on a stand" Jesus laid the foundation for Biblical Evangelism in John chapter four. When he met the woman at the well, Jesus started a conversation about natural things, (will you draw me a drink of water?) then he swung the conversation to the spiritual issues, (if you knew who it was that asked for a drink of water) Next comes the Law, Jesus used the seventh commandment to show the woman that she was guilty before a Holy and Righteous God. Then with her heart humbled, and her undivided attention (because of her guilt) he gave her the good news of his grace. Biblical Evangelism is always "Law to the proud" and "Grace to the humble" God uses the law to break the hard heart and grace to heal the broken heart. This may sound a little different than what you are used to, "Modern Evangelism" has removed the Law from evangelism. During our August trip, one of our teams met a man downtown that is retired. He said that he has been going downtown consistantly for 20 years and no one has ever stopped to share the gospel with him.
Grace and Truth Fellowship formed almost a year ago out of a desire to evangelize and reach the lost. We don't keep records on the amount of tracts we hand out or how many people we talk to. (Our goal is not to keep score) Based on the amount of tracts we have ordered, we estimate having handed out around 600 tracts in just under a year. Praise God that is 600 times that the word has been handed out that it otherwise would not have been. Imagine if we could get 600 more from every church in town.
